Mehdi Fallah is an Iranian Calligrapher, Musician, and Master of Vocal styles in Persian singing.

He is among the most famous calligraphers in Iran. He has created About 200 artworks, including around 80 calligraphy-paintings in Contemporary style and 120 Classic Persian Calligraphy.

Born in Babol, Iran on October 11, 1956. Fallah has started his Calligraphy by attending  Iran Calligrapher  Association  Courses in  the 1970s.

His main teachers were Hossein Mirkhani and Gholamhosein Amirkhani.

In 1987 he mastered Persian calligraphy specifically Nastaʼlīq style (One of the main calligraphic hands used in writing the Persian alphabet).

He is also a vocalist. His main teachers were Abdolali Vaziri, Dr. Hossein Omoomi and Mohammadreza Shajarian. He also Learned the vocal styles of singers from previous generations.

He plays Setar (Iranian Musical Instrument) as well and He has learned it from Ahmad Ebadi and Zeidollah Tolloee.

Mastering Nastaʼlīq  in parallel with deep knowledge in Music has supported him very well in creating unity, form, Movement, rhythm, colors, and contrast ended to a perfect Composition in his artworks.

He has been awarded the Grade 1 Art Award by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran. He is one of a kind in his field and his artworks are so unique and innovative that inspires so many young artists.

His artworks in calligraphy include “classic calligraphy” and “contemporary calligraphy-painting”. He has started his art career in classic and specifically in Syah mashq style.
